Welcome to our research group! We are a team of dedicated researchers in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas - Lawrence, KS. We are passionate about investigating effective ways to communicate about climate change effects and protecting the environment. Our mission is to uncover the most impactful ways to raise awareness and inspire action towards creating a sustainable future for our planet. Through our research, we aim to provide valuable insights that can help individuals, organizations, and governments to make informed decisions and take meaningful steps towards protecting our environment.

Dr. Hong Tien Vu (PI)
Dr. Hong Tien Vu teaches media writing, international journalism, information management and international strategic communication. Vu's research focuses on global/development communication and digital media, with other interests including communication for global change. Vu has presented his research at numerous venues such as the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication Annual Conference and the International Communication Association Annual Conference.
Dr. Vaibhav S. Diwanji (Co-PI)
Vaibhav Diwanji is an assistant professor in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. He received his Ph.D. from the College of Communication and Information at the Florida State University. His primary research interests lie at the intersection of consumer behavior, new and emerging media technologies and strategic communication. He has presented his work at numerous advertising, marketing and communication international research conferences.
